Salience delivered a capacity building workshop for the Ethiopian Communications Authority (ECA) and other stakeholders involved in the Connectivity Gap Assessment in Refugee Camps and Host Communities project.

This course focused on technical skills development, telecommunication fundamentals, regulatory frameworks, project management skills, customer service excellence, monitoring and evaluation techniques, implementation strategies and emerging technologies. Modules covered universal access and service strategic planning, economic and financial modeling, project monitoring, GIS applications, network planning and optimization, infrastructure mapping, and geo-database management.

In addition, the training modules placed strong emphasis on the technical aspects of broadband connectivity, 4G and 5G technologies, as well as practical approaches to addressing first-mile, middle-mile, and last-mile connectivity challenges in the country, particularly in refugee camps and host communities.
