Telkom Kenya digital consultancy

Due diligence, business planning, and forecasting to support the separation of Telkom Kenya’s digital business.

The challenge

Telkom Kenya sought to separate its Enterprise and Wholesale units into a new subsidiary. The company required end-to-end due diligence, updated long-term forecasts, regulatory assessments, and a detailed business plan to support fundraising discussions and guide the restructuring process.

Project outline

  • Conducted strategy review and identified assets and liabilities.

  • Performed legal and regulatory due diligence.

  • Developed the business plan and operating model for the new subsidiary.

  • Prepared inter-company agreements to define operational relationships.

  • Analysed actuals versus forecasts and refined financial assumptions.

  • Produced updated business plan with sensitivity testing through 2030.

  • Held workshops with management and key stakeholders.

Our impact

  • Enabled Telkom Kenya to evaluate the viability of separating the digital business.

  • Provided a robust financial plan and sensitivity-tested forecasts to support lender and investor discussions.

  • Strengthened regulatory and organisational readiness for the restructuring.

  • Improved clarity of future operational and financial relationships through inter-company agreements.
