Awasr was established as a new fixed and mobile broadband operator in Oman, requiring full operational, commercial, and organizational set-up from inception. The project demanded not only strategic planning, but also hands-on executive leadership during the company’s formative phase.
The challenge
Awasr needed to rapidly develop a credible investment case, secure regulatory and commercial readiness, and build a complete management structure capable of launching and operating a competitive telecom business. This required experienced leadership across technical, commercial, financial, and operational functions, alongside strong governance and transition planning.
Project outline
Salience provided end-to-end support to establish Awasr as an operating telecom company. This included development of the investment case, information memorandum, and company valuation, supported by detailed market demand analysis and a comprehensive go-to-market strategy.
Salience also designed the organisational structure, internal processes, departmental KPIs, and governance framework. In parallel, Salience managed the local recruitment process and placed senior executives across key departments, ensuring immediate operational capability.
