The 1st Edition of the Smart City Summit Oman was inaugurated by H.E. Alfadhel Mohamed Al Harthy, Secretary General to the Cabinet at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre on 28th March 2017 in the presence of dignitaries, senior officials and diplomats.

The summit aims at various economic and service sectors translating the core concept and value of smart city technologies of linking government, business and social activities to improve citizens’ life and welfare. Keith Miller, Salience’s Smart City service lead, delivered a presentation on the priorities and options for creating Smart City service using IOT and platforms to roll them out.
