Oman Broadband Company (OBC) was established as a national wholesale telecom infrastructure provider to support Oman’s broadband strategy. During its formation and early operational phase, OBC required experienced strategic, technical, and operational expertise to support organisational set-up and ensure effective execution of its mandate.
The challenge
As a newly created wholesale operator, OBC faced the challenge of building internal capabilities while simultaneously progressing complex regulatory, commercial, and network deployment activities. Key roles needed to be filled quickly with experienced professionals who could operate within a start-up environment, support decision-making, and transfer knowledge to local teams as the organisation matured.
Project outline
Salience delivered comprehensive strategic, technical, and operational support during OBC’s establishment and early operations. This included filling critical positions within the organisation to ensure continuity, accelerate decision-making, and support execution across multiple workstreams.

Technology advisers supporting network strategy and infrastructure planning
-
Commercial advisers supporting wholesale business models and partnerships
-
Regulatory specialists supporting licensing, pricing, and compliance
-
Operations specialists supporting day-to-day operational readiness

Our impact
