Our Partner, Erik Whitlock, attended the second workshop held by Smart Africa on April 22-23 in Nairobi, Kenya, this time developing the discussions on regional engagement for the East and Southern African countries. The goal of the workshop was to introduce the African Bulk Purchase Marketplace (BBMP) approach and gather input on the needs and priorities of Smart Africa Member States.
Smart Africa, in collaboration with GIGA (a joint initiative of UNICEF and International Telecommunication Union), United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), the Partnership for Digital Access in Africa (PDAA), Member governments, other development partners, and philanthropic organizations, are working to build a digitally inclusive future for Africa’s children, students, and communities.
We are proud to be contributing to this effort, transforming countries and communities through digital and ICT solutions.
