Salience at Day 2 of Submarine Networks World 2025

From moderating panels to sharing visionary insights, Salience Consulting had a strong presence on Day 2 of Submarine Networks World 2025.

Our Associate Partner, Sabah AlKubaisy, moderated the session “Utilizing AI for Network Optimization Between Long-Distance Connections” with Jürgen Hatheier (Ciena), Kapil Kumar Jain (Tata Communications), and Dion Kristadi (Telin). The panel explored how advanced AI is redefining efficiency, reliability, and scalability in global network infrastructure turning complex challenges into actionable strategies for the future of connectivity.

Also, our Managing Partner, Ivan Skenderoski, joined the panel “The Arctic Cable Maintenance Debate: Making the Seemingly Impossible, Possible?” with Jonny Lundin (NORDUnet), Jens O. Frorud (Space Norway), and Martin Prins (The Dutch Subsea Cable Coalition), moderated by Alasdair Wilkie (Atlantic Cable Maintenance & Repair Agreement 2017). Ivan emphasized the ambitious vision of connecting Antarctica, the last unconnected continent:

“Governments behind these installations need to take a long-term view, beyond yearly budgets. We encourage them to think 20 years ahead, to invest upfront, and to align this with the growing scientific needs.”

Alongside these panels, our team continued valuable meetings and interviews, strengthening partnerships and exploring future opportunities in advancing connectivity worldwide.
