Ammar Hamadien Moderated Panel on the Future of the One Africa Network (ONA) at TAS 2025

At TransformAfrica2025, our colleague Dr. Ammar Hamadien moderated a thought-provoking panel discussion on “Charting the Future of the One Africa Network (OAN) – The Role of AI.”

The session brought together leading voices in Africa’s digital ecosystem – Badara Ali MEITE, Aliyu Yusuf Aboki, Eng.Murenzi Daniel, Eric Armel N’DOUMBA, Dr Ing, and Stéphane Lelux, to explore how artificial intelligence and regional collaboration can accelerate the continent’s journey toward a unified digital market.

The discussion highlighted that the success of the One Africa Network and other regional initiatives hinges on strategic investments in AI-enabled infrastructure, policy harmonization, and cross-border data frameworks that foster trust and interoperability. Panelists highlighted the importance of public–private partnerships, local capacity building, and inclusive innovation ecosystems to ensure that AI serves all Africans equitably. Collaboration among governments, regulators, and the private sector was seen as essential to translating vision into tangible impact.

Dr. Hamadien’s moderation steered a dynamic conversation on how AI can empower connectivity, enhance cross-border services, not only roaming, and unlock sustainable growth across Africa.

At Salience Consulting, we take pride in contributing to this important initiative and remain committed to driving innovation, developing digital infrastructure, and fostering inclusive transformation across the continent.
