What was the challenge?
Qiddiya required subject matter expertise and guidance prior to go-to-market (GTM) to ensure full compliance with its stringent requirements for MNO onboarding, mobile coverage, QoS, and SLAs. This included technical verification and validation of the proposed telecom network designs covering mobile, fixed, and data center components before finalizing the RFP and GTM process.
Project outline
- Carried a validation exercise of the previously proposed telecom dimensioning for the different areas of mobile (indoor & outdoor), fixed networks, & data centers – with international benchmarks on demand growth, in-house footfall & demand forecasts.
- Developed three distinct RFPs for mobile, passive fibre, and data centre infrastructure.
- Carried bid management process including pre tender and post tender clarifications, technical bids evaluations & scoring of the RFPs.
- Conducted internal material reviews, bidder discussions, proposal scoring, and alignment sessions.
- Prepared final recommendations & next steps to the client following the outcomes of the technical bids evaluations.
Our impact
- Identified gaps between QIC’s existing telecom & ICT networks dimensioning, expected growth with benchmarks based dimensioning – and revised network components to best fit QIC requirements.
- Delivered an informed, qualitative, quantitative, and impartial evaluation of the bidder proposals – with bidders shortlisted as a result.
- Successfully progressed the telecom project in QIC to the next milestone of commercial negotiations stage.
- Partnered with QIC in the initial commercial negotiations rounds with the shortlisted bidders.
