This November, we had the privilege of welcoming the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) to our Dubai office for a series of hands-on training sessions and strategic discussions. The visit forms part of our broader work supporting regulators across multiple markets as they strengthen competition oversight and adapt to fast-changing sector dynamics.
In this video, our Partner, Dr. Erik Whitlock, sits down with Mbaga Tuzinde, Head of the Competition Division at UCC, to reflect on the impact of the multi-week programme delivered to UCC teams. The training brought together specialists from different divisions across the Commission, each contributing to key areas of competition analysis and regulatory decision-making.
During their conversation, Erik asked Mbaga to share how the sessions have helped deepen the team’s understanding of cost-modelling frameworks and how this knowledge is informing UCC’s approach in ongoing advisory work with Salience.
Our collaboration with UCC includes the development of a comprehensive cost model designed to interpret market behaviour. This work plays an important role in strengthening evidence-based regulation within Uganda’s communications sector.
We truly value our partnership with UCC and remain committed to supporting their continued efforts to drive connectivity, competition, and regulatory excellence.
