Project outline
The main challenge of this assignment is to evaluate Kenya’s public digital infrastructure comprehensively, identifying gaps in connectivity, assessing current network capacity and performance, and projecting future demand. The study must balance technical, financial, and social considerations to develop feasible upgrade options and expansion strategies, while recommending a business model that maximizes economic and social returns and effectively bridges the digital divide across the country.

- Review Kenya’s broadband connectivity landscape and identify supply-demand gaps.
- Assess the technical state, capacity, and performance of existing public digital infrastructure.
- Analyze current and projected demand for bandwidth and enterprise services.
- Evaluate options for upgrading and expanding NOFBI and County Metro Networks.
- Assess last-mile connectivity, LAN infrastructure, and associated services for public institutions.
