Citywide Wi-Fi Deployment Business Case

The challenge

Tehran and other major Iranian cities aimed to deploy metro-scale Wi-Fi networks. The challenge was to assess commercial viability, understand backhaul constraints, and develop a realistic, financially supported business case for large-scale urban Wi-Fi deployment.

Project outline

  • Forecasted consumer and enterprise demand.

  • Compared Wi-Fi infrastructure costs with available backhaul options.

  • Defined metropolitan coverage areas and deployment scenarios.

  • Prepared detailed business plans and financial models.

  • Assessed capacity and operational risks.

  • Provided execution planning and ongoing advisory support.
