Erik brings a global perspective with over 15 years’ experience providing economic advisory services to telecommunications companies, regulators and financial investors globally.

About Erik

As the lead of Telecom Regulatory practice, Erik’s projects have covered the spectrum of communications economics and financial policy issues. Examples of his recent engagements include:

  • Advising the regulator on creating a new function and new regime for mast and tower permitting in the Middle East
  • Developed overall business strategy, go-to-market approach and pricing propositions for an Internet service provider utilizing national open access passive fiber infrastructure in Middle East
  • Contributing to the formulation of a national broadband strategy for an Eastern European nation by forecasting demand targets, identifying key changes in the regulatory regime and conducting cost benefit analyses of strategic options
  • Producing new and improving existing long-run incremental cost models required by the various regulators in the Caribbean, to be used to set cost-based rates for termination of voice calls between license telecommunications network operators

Prior to Salience, Erik was a Director within PricewaterhouseCoopers’ strategy and valuation practice handling projects in Canada, Latin America, the Caribbean and Middle East.
