About Jonathan

Jonathan is an experienced telecoms professional, with a wide ranging portfolio of technical and commercial experience with fixed, mobile and submarine operators, encompassing network design and audit, procurement, infrastructure deployment, project and contract management. In addition, he leads the Next Generations Networks Practice at Salience.

Jonathan’s recent projects include:

  • Project lead of national broadband implementation programme in Serbia
  • Technical Lead for network deployment for a new FTTH (Fibre to the Home) start up operator, Awasr, in Oman
  • Procurement consultant to Oredoo Group Operations. Commercial management of a group wide Core and RAN tender across 9 operating companies
  • Lead consultant developing Broadband Strategy for STC based in Riyadh. Includes neighbourhood business cases for rollout of FTTH (Fibre to the Home), GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Networks), FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet), VDSL2 (Very-high-bit-rate digital subscriber line 2), HSPA+ (High Speed Packet Access)
  • SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) /DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing)
